Job Description

As part of the legal team, you, as a generalist,  will use your legal expertise to advise on various e-commerce issues, with a focus on contracts, consumer protection and marketing , as well as Intellectual Property Law. As a Legal Counsel,  you will ensure balanced risk management and provide advice/counsel across multiple areas of business law related to an organization’s legal rights and obligations. ​

Responsibilities:

• Under broad guidance, providing cross-departmental advice and research on a variety of legal issues, in particular in the areas of Consumer Protection Law, Intellectual property rights, Unfair Competition Law, Contracts as well as Transportation, Customs, Corporate, Commercial and IT law, and all other relevant areas of law in a company. 

• Contributing legal support for international cross-departmental projects, e.g. in the areas of marketing (including social media), private brands and customer experience.

• Researching, analyzing and interpreting proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations.

• Preparing and reviewing legal documents/reports.

• Supporting the delivery of training courses in the above-mentioned areas.

• Identifying, evaluating, and addressing issues of legal risk in the above-mentioned areas.

• Ongoing process optimization

Requirements:

• Two successfully completed state examinations in law

• At least 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in a company or law firm

• Willingness and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of law

• Structured, flexible and solution-oriented way of working

• Strong procedural and analytical thinking skills as well as the ability to structure, analyze and summarize complex issues in a targeted manner

• Strong service orientation and quality awareness

• Hands-on mentality and ability to work in a team, understanding and enthusiasm for economic contexts

• Strong communication, organizational and team skills

• Very good written and spoken German (C2) and English (C1), further language skills, especially Russian, an advantage
